<p>Ellis, Ed R.</p><p><br></p><p>Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the age of 85.</p><p><br></p><p>Beloved husband of Marg.</p><p>Proud father of Pete (Maria) and Kathy Clemens (Alvan).</p><p>Papa will be greatly missed by grandchildren Trevor (Rachel), Craig (Nat) and Zoe and great-grandchildren Jamie-Lynn and Dexter.</p><p>Survived by his brother Frank.</p><p>Predeceased by his younger brothers George and Richard.</p><p><br></p><p>Ed and Marg joyfully celebrated their 60th Anniversary in May 2016. He was an employee of City of Kitchener for 23 years. Ed and Marg took every opportunity to travel.</p><p><br></p><p>Ed's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home immediately following the visitation, at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, followed by a reception at the funeral home.</p><p><br></p><p>As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).</p><p><br></p><p>Thank you to the staff at A.R.
