Ernest “Ernie” Evans of Kincardine passed away with family by his side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Thursday, May 19th 2016 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Alayne Evans (née Wright). Dear father of Mary-K Hardy (John), Shelley Evans, Angela Evans (Steve Bent); and special St. Lucian son, Samuel Hall. Missed greatly by his granddaughter Quinn Evans. Special Poppa to Jules and Eartha Phorson. Missed by his brothers Jim Evans, Bill Evans (Pat), Lynn Evans and sister Eueen Emmerton. Fondly remembered by in-laws Donna Riddick, Kay Small, Judy MacLeod (Eric) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Kathleen (née Johnson) Evans, sister Frances Duke, brother-in-law Eugene Duke, brother-in-law Ed Emmerton and sister-in-law Mildred Evans. A celebration of Ernest’s life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #183, Kincardine on Saturday, June 25th, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with remembrances at 3:00 p.m. Final resting place Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
