William “Clare” Rowell of Kincardine, passed away peacefully with family by his side, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine on Friday, April 22nd, 2016, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Beth Rowell (née Bray). Loving father of Betty Burnett (Doug) of Toronto, Barbara Rowland (Barry) of Florida, Patricia Greer (John) of Wasaga Beach and Peggy Henderson (Brad) of Mount Forest. Missed by his grandchildren, Erik Vares (Dianna), Robert Greer (Jennifer), Kyle Greer (Kaylee), Leslie Henderson, Michael Henderson (Julie), step-grandchildren, Deanna Price (Chris), Denise Lentine (Joe) and great-grandchildren, Veronika, Genevieve, Ethan, Cole, Dillon, Kennady and Carley. Fondly remembered by his sisters Mae Hunt of Schomberg and Fay Douglas (Ken) of Innisfree, Alberta, in-laws, Don Bray of Beeton, Marie Bruhn (Hans) of Beeton, Gayle McLeod (Neil) of Manilla and June Bray of Beeton and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Kim Thompson, parents Jack and Margaret (née Jackson) Rowell, brother Gerald Rowell (Joan) and brothers-in-law Willard Hunt, Bill Bray and sister-in-law Inez Bray. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Thursday, April 28th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Clare’s life will be held at Lighthouse Fellowship Baptist Church, 137 Mahood Johnston Drive, Kincardine on Friday, April 29th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:00 p.m.. Interment Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to Cystic Fibrosis or the Lighthouse Fellowship Baptist Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
