James Edward Heron passed away peacefully on the morning of August 3, 2016 at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital with his mother and sister by his side. He was born February 7, 1953, son of Shirley Ramsay and Vernon Heron. He was the second of six children, survived by brother Robert (Anne) David (Cathy) Douglas Ramsay, and sister Beverley (Brian). Predeceased by his father Vernon Heron and his brother John Heron. He will be remembered by his friend Carrie Wright and all of his nieces and nephews. Jim grew up in Collingwood and was well known for his carpentry skills and his amazing attention to detail. Jimmy lived his life to the fullest and he was known and loved by many. He will be truly missed. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 27, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion – Collingwood. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
