Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Joan (Kirkland) Nowlan who predeceased him Dec. 4, 2015. Cherished father of Rodney Nowlan (Dorothy Latimer) and Brenda (John) Morash. Dear grandfather of Joshua, Andrew (Ashley Godin) and Sarah (Nick Ross) and great grandfather of Dalton and Christian. Also survived by his sisters Orva Mallette and Una Morrow as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Albertus and Lula Nowlan; children William and Gerald in infancy; a sister Audrey Hodge and brothers James, Cecil, Forrest, Ronald and Robert.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 11 am - 1 pm with a service celebrating Lorne's life at 1 pm in the Chapel.
