Madeline McIntosh

McIntosh, Madeline nee Walt, 1926 – 2016 With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Madeline, on Tuesday August 30th 2016 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving parents Arthur & Pauline Walt and her husband of 68 wonderful years, Donald McIntosh. Mother to the late Arthur “Ross” McIntosh (Chris LeSage) of Belleville and Bob McIntosh of Stirling. She will be missed by her sisters Marjorie Moran and the late Dorothy Knau. Her 5 grand children, and 12 great grandchildren are thankful they had the opportunity to know and love her. Madeline was a proud co- owner of McIntosh Small Motors in Stirling. She was a successful painter and as a highly skilled professional artist her paintings found homes around the world. She also motivated and influenced many local painters in her role as an art instructor for Loyalist extension courses. An avid historian; she loved history,geneology, gathering antiques, gardening and fine arts. Madeline will be missed by her many family and friends. The family invites her friends and family to a, “Celebration of Life”, Thursday, September 8th,2016, at the Stirling Funeral Chapel, 87 James St. Stirling ON (613) 395-2424. Visitation will be held from 10am-11:30 am, SERVICE to follow at: 1130 a.m.
