LOUIS ANTHONY BONNETTE (1927 - 2016) It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Louis Anthony Bonnette on August 4, 2016 at the age of 89. Louis was surrounded by his loving family: son Robert (Inge), daughter Diane (late Francesco) and son Richard ( Josey). He is survived by his sisters Adeline, Mary and many nieces and nephews.Louis was born in Cowansville, Quebec and left for Ontario in 1956 to start-up his own building supply business in Acton. Afterwards he worked for many years in student travel. Louis travelled the world with his late wife Madeleine (2009) to whom he was married for 62 years. He ended his career at GO Transit as a sales supervisor and retired in 1992.Louis volunteered in the community of Acton, most notably as a school trustee, YMCA member and as a manager of the Acton Sabres Junior Hockey Team.Louis was a generous man, a great father and a good husband. He loved politics, enjoyed watching old movies and loved sports, such as hockey, and the Blue Jays. Louis was known for his great sense of humor. In his younger years, Louis flew a Cessna plane and was a member of the Brampton Flying Club. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends and also his dogs: Mac, Oliver, Oscar- Mickey and the two "amigas".The family would like to extend special thanks to: Bill Mc Gilloway Halton Hills Fire Department, Halton Paramedics, Halton Regional Police, Dr. Farragos and staff, Doctors and staff at Georgetown Hospital and Brampton Civic Hospital, John Creasey, Karen Mac Donald, Begin family. A service will be held on Thursday August 18 at 2 pm at the Salvation Army Chapel, 114 Mill Street, Acton followed by a reception to celebrate his life at the Royal Canadian Legion in Acton. There will be no viewing but there will be an opportunity to meet the family at the Salvation Army Chapel at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, as per Louis' wishes, a donation to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (C.A.S.H.H) would be greatly appreciated.
