Irma Elizabeth Coles (nee Kentner) May 30,1929 – July 13, 2016 The family of Irma Coles, advise of her passing peacefully at Bennett Health Care Centre, Georgetown on Wed. July 13, 2016 in her 87th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Hartley. Cherished mother of Marianne Creary and her husband Bob Johnston of Georgetown and Tim Coles and his wife Cathy of Acton. She was cherished and will be missed by her grandchildren; Robin Creary (Tilley), Elizabeth Doucett (Chris), Bryan Coles (Tania) and Kate Creary (Luigi) and her great grandchildren Isaac and Sammy Creary, Olivia and Sophia Lo Tufo, Brooke and Brayden Doucett and Scout Coles. Beloved sister of the late Norma Marchment. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their families as well as her dear friends, especially her lifelong friend Frances Marcoux. Irma lived in Acton for 87 years and filled her life with family and friends, travel, Catholic Women’s League (50 year Pin) Bridge, Art, Piano and Classical Music. She worked for Canada Post and was a proof reader for The Acton Free Press and Georgtown Independent. Friends will be received at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home Ltd., 55 Mill St. East, Acton, on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the St. Joseph Patron Of Canada Parish, 64 Church Street East, Acton. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Acton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Irma can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (C.A.S.H.H).
