Nancy LeBlanc

LeBlanc (Payn), Nancy Elizabeth – age 59 of Nakile Home for Special Care, passed away on July 18th 2016 at home after a lengthy illness. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton she was a daughter to Gloria Payn and the late William Payn. Nancy worked at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital in housekeeping until 1982 when she retired due to her illness. He co-workers described her as a person who was “full of life” and “energetic”. She enjoyed playing baseball and taught her son how to play which has now has been passed down to her grandson. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Payn; son, Chad (Maryse LeBlanc); brothers, Raymond Payn and Bill (Jill) Payn; sisters, Margaret Payn (Anderson) and Kathy (Gerald) Gray; grandchildren, Sébastien LeBlanc and Alexander LeBlanc. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no visitation by family request. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held Thursday, July 21 2016 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A.D “Bill” Newell officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to Nakile Home for Special Care.
