SAVORY, Jeremiah “Jerry” – age 75 of The Meadows Home for Special Care in Yarmouth, passed away on July 31, 2016 at the Meadows. Born in Belleoram, Fortune Bay, and NFLD on September 24, 1940 he was a son of the late Isaac and Elizabeth Savory. Jerry was a fisherman most of his life and also enjoyed to sport fish and bowling as well. In his later years he would enjoy bingo, music, and dancing at the Meadows. He is survived by his brothers Allan (Marjorie) Savory, Argyle Sound; Levy Savory and Manuel Savory both of Belleoram, Fortune Bay , N.F.L.D ; aunt, Lillian Stickland; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Jerry was predeceased by a sister, Anne Beatrice Savory. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lunenburg Co., with Catherine Robar officiating.
