It is with great sadness that the family of Marion June Williams, 64, of Mahone Bay, announces her passing on Saturday, May 14, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Terra Nova N.L., she was a daughter of Christina Drodge-Burton (Rowsell) of Ottawa and the late Albert Drodge. Marion was employed as a remittance officer/teller at the Scotia Bank in Dartmouth and the Royal Bank in Liverpool. She did a great deal of volunteer work with the Salvation Army in Bridgewater and worked in the Thrift Shop. She was a member of Middlewood Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Middlewood and a past member of Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church, Mahone Bay. Besides her mother, Christina Drodge-Burton, Ottawa, Marion survived by her loving husband Bruce, daughters Nancy (Dane) Louvelle, Porter’s Lake, Sharilyn Watkins, Dartmouth, sons Brent (Holly) Watkins, Stevenville, N.L., Andrew (Lori Gould) Buckley, Bridgewater, Brian (Rachel Marie) Buckley, Toronto, sister Louise Drodge, Ottawa. She will be greatly missed by grandchildren Melissa, Kayla, Brayden, Natasha, Sam, Christina, Brianna and Ava. Also surviving are her step-children, Darlene Williams, Susan Robar, Charlene Williams, Christie Williams, Charles Williams and a large extended family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Marion during visitation on Thursday from 1:00 until time of service at 3:00 pm at Middlewood Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Pastor Fred Carr and Pastor James Haughn officiating. Interment will be in Middlewood Emmanuel Tabernacle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
