Kennedy, Florence Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the L. A. Miller Centre after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, age 88 yrs of Seal Cove. Predeceased by her husband Hayward (2000) and grandson Ryan (1999). Left with fond and loving memories her children David (Elaine), Glenda (Ed) and Nancy (Shelly), grandchildren, Christina (Joe), Jennifer (Barry), Angela (Marc), John (Samanthia), precious great-grandchildren whom she adored, Eric, Chloe, Charlotte, Isla, Vanessa and Caleb. Also leaving to mourn brothers Gordon and Cliff, sister Julia and a large circle of extended family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit for all your kindness, care and compassion during her stay. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Friday from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm, Saturday from 10 – 12 noon, 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm, Sunday from 10 – 12 noon. Funeral service to take place in Hope Pentecostal Church, Garden Road, Seal Cove on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 2 pm. Interment in Hope Pentecostal Cemetery, Seal Cove. No flowers by request, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
