Colleen Elizabeth Applin April 13, 1962 – October 19, 2016 It is with profound sadness that we announce our loved one Colleen passed away, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the young age of 54. She will be forever missed by the Love of her Life, her husband Bob, her siblings, Bruce & Cindy, Jo-Anne & Wilson, and Karen & Mitch. She also leaves to mourn her nieces and nephew, Dan & Sarah, Jamie, and the apple of her eye and favorite dollar store shopping buddy Abby, her in laws Bob and Delores, as well as Bob's extended family. She was predeceased by her parents Ed and Lorraine, her grandparents and her brother in law Randy. Colleen was the type of person that always put other people’s needs before her own and sometimes even at the expense of herself, especially when it came to her family. She was the Mother Hen who always made sure everyone was OK. Herself, she enjoyed a simple life. Although she did love getting her nails done, she was not one to fuss over fancy clothes and shoes but rather someone who would prefer to cast a fishing line and enjoy the day, to go camping and snowmobiling with her husband, or go for long car rides and enjoy the scenery. Her absolute favorite place to go was the cabin at Wanasing where so many of her fondest memories were made. Over the years Colleen has struggled with many medical issues with courage, strength and dignity, but this time was just too much. Our only consolation is that she is now free of pain and is resting comfortably on a beach in Heaven with a cold beer in one hand and a fishing rod in the other! Rest in Peace Colleen, We will Love you and Miss you forever!
