Matthew Stephen Lequire It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother on April 2, 2016 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 29. Matthew was born in Red Deer, Alberta on July 2, 1986 and moved to Winnipeg two months later. Matt grew up in beautiful Transcona where he attended Ecole Margaret Underhill, Ecole Regent Park, and College Pierre Elliot Trudeau. Matthew graduated from the U of W with his BA (Honours) in Criminal Justice. At the time of Matt’s passing he was finishing his last few days of exams and was to graduate from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. He will be receiving his diploma posthumously. Matt was to start his articling position at the Federal Dept. of Justice in June. Matt loved and was loved by his family, his best friend Michelle Dyck, his guitars, his pets, and the Jets - pretty much in that order. Cherishing family memories are his proud parents Bryce and Gwen; brothers BJ and Levi; Grandparents Joe and Dorothy Lequire; several Aunts and Uncles, 22 first cousins, and Cooper the Wonderdog. Matthew’s “Welcoming Committee” include his Grandma Lily McAuley, Grandpa Al Wokes, Uncle Stephen Lequire, Auntie Frances Wokes, Auntie Marj Logan, and sweet old family pooch, Toya. A celebration of Matt’s life and undying spirit will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home 1800 Day Street. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00.
