Jacob was born in Pukatawagan, Manitoba, Sunday, March 19, 1944 and left us unexpectedly Monday, October 3, 2016, at his home in Sherridon, Manitoba, at the age of 72 years.
Jacob spent most of his life in Sherridon where he enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing and guiding. Most of his life he lived in Ruddock.
Jacob loved to share stories with his family and friends. He was a very kind person and welcomed everyone with a warm heart.
Jacob is survived by his brother Basil John Charlette; special grandson Steve Colomb; nieces and nephews Mary Jane Nicholas (Ron), Evelyn Bighetty, Mary Head (Gabe), Martin Jr. (Maggie), Floyd North, Stanley Cook (Laura), Melvina Sara Jane Dumas (Hanson), Philip Charlette, Jarad Charlette (Shannon), Ashley Charlette, Ramona McKay, Tony McKay (Jamie), Angeline and family, Irene McKay and family, Robert Lapensee (Selena), Daryl Lapensee (Judy), Dion Lapensee (Verna), Basil Nicholas, Charlie Bighetty, Donavon Bighetty, Lovelyn Cordell (Vern), Cree Spirit Nicholas, Morning Star Bighetty and family, Joe Charlette (Sylvia), Margaret Campbell, Max Charlette, Kenneth Charlette; and numerous other family, too many to mention.
Jacob was predeceased by parents Marcel and Susan (nee Caribou) Charlette; brothers Jim James Charlette, Zachous Charlette, Frank Charlette; sisters Juliette Nicholas, Angeline Colomb, Maggie North, Marie Dumas; nephews Thomas Nicholas, Simon Nicholas, James Justin Charlette; niece Madeline Lapensee; and many uncles, aunts, too numerous to mention. If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
