Irvin Sayese Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Irvin Sayese announces his passing after a brief battle with cancer on July 6, 2016 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 44 years. Irvin was born Friday, March 3, 1972 at St. Anthony's General Hospital in The Pas, MB. He was the youngest child of Elise and Simeon Sayese. He spent his childhood at our house in Young's Point, a place that he always considered his home. At the time of his passing, he resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba so he could be close to his baby girl, Lily. Pip left school at an early age and ended up going trapping and commercial fishing with our dad Simeon. During the summer he went fire fighting. Soon after he started his career in the construction trade. He spent about 4 years working as a roofer in Winnipeg. Pip worked all over Manitoba and different parts of Canada. Pip followed in his fathers footsteps working on both the Wuskawatim and Keyask Generating Stations in Northern Manitoba. He also worked at the Smokey Falls Generating Station near Kapuskasing, Ontario. Somewhere in between working on the dams he went out west to work in Vancouver, BC as well. Irvin's infectious personality and his kind heart has made lasting friendships with many coworkers from across the country. Pip is survived by his companion Tanya Hunter and his beloved daughter Lilenia "Lily" as well as Christopher Jebb his adopted son. Mother Elise Sayese, siblings Loretta Smith (Garry Dewar), Carolyn McKenzie (Norman), Edward, Mary, Teresa (Frank Sitas), Natalie Henderson (Rick), Simeon, Garth "Skip" (Dawn).
