Anna Marie Bibiane Carnegie was born Tuesday, June 11, 1940 in Rockglen, Saskatchewan to Wilfrid and Helené Lamontagne.
The family moved to The Pas, Manitoba and that is where she met Elmer Vernon “Douglas” Anderson, whom she married August 18, 1960. Anna lost Doug April 24, 1967 in Snow Lake, Manitoba. She was fortunate to meet Donald Carnegie whom she married November 20, 1968.
During her lifetime Anna had many jobs from bailing Christmas trees and driving school bus to owning a used bookstore and running a restaurant. Her favourite job of all was being a wife, mother, grandmother and grandma-grandma.
In her later years Anna treated family and friends to the delights of her delicious cinnamon buns, homemade bread and puffed wheat cakes. She also spent many hours making beautiful homemade quilts for her family and loved ones.
Anna enjoyed a good practical joke and surprised us with her humour.
Anna passed away peacefully with family by her side, Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at the Snow Lake Health Centre, at the age of 76 years.
Anna was predeceased by her parents Wilfrid and Helené Lamontagne; husbands Douglas and Donald; mothers and fathers-in-law George and Edith Anderson, Ernest and Elizabeth Carnegie; infant daughter Susan; brother Gus; sisters Jeanne, Bibiane, Rose.
