FRANCES JANE RICHARDSON It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, Fran Richardson, at the Olds Hospital on August 20, 2016 at the age of 69 years. Born Fran Baerg on October 7, 1946, she grew up living on the family farm near Linden and went to school in Acme. She married George Richardson on December 10, 1965. While raising her children Rob and Teresa, they lived in many towns throughout Alberta. They finally chose Olds to settle during retirement as it was a close distance to both their children and grandchildren. Fran loved animals (notably her Taffy) and was also known for her baking and cooking abilities, green thumb and playing cards. Her freezer was always stocked up with things she had prepared for kids and grandkids visiting and also making sure she had enough for care packages to send home with them. She will be lovingly missed by her children, Robert (Dody) Richardson ; Teresa (Mike) Sitbon; grandchildren Rachel (Jason) Stearns, Christopher Richardson, Shaun Sitbon, Matthew Richardson and Johnathan Richardson; great-grandchild Cooper Stearns along with other numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George Richardson, parents Frank and Esther Baerg and sister Judy Richardson. Memorial services will be held on Monday August 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Olds United Church with Reverend Tammy Allan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the SPCA or Alberta Cancer Foundation. "Rejoice in the memories as these are her lasting gift to us"
