Harvey John Scott 1934-2016 After a long courageous battle with Parkinson's, Mr.Harvey Scott passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family and respite caregiver Doris. He is survived by his loving wife, Beth and his treasured family, Suzanne, John, Chace and Tristan Elliott, Lynette, Wade, Jessa and Walker Galloway. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Hodgkinson (Bill Lust), sister in law Linda Scott as well as several nieces and nephews. Harvey’s Corrigan family, Rick and Susan, Michael and Joanne, Amy, Pat and Dick and Colleen and Ken have supported us in all things during the many years of his illness and were so very important to Harvey. He was predeceased by his parents, Elsie and Percy Scott and his brother Melvin Scott, as well as his in-laws, Tom and Margaret Corrigan. Harvey was born Aug. 12, 1934 and his passion for farming was recognized at the age of seven when he approached his neighbor to ask for a job. He was hired to rake hay with a team of horses, and from there his passions only grew as Harvey would eventually have his own fields to farm. Harvey and Beth Corrigan were married in 1964 and looked forward to celebrating their fifty-second anniversary soon. His word was his bond; he was always there to help people when they needed it, and did not expect anything in return for his kindness. A completed job for a person in need was worth more than money to Harvey. His kind-heartedness will be remembered by many. In his quiet way, Harvey followed his grandchildren’s adventures from his home and was always so proud of their willingness to pursue new challenges.
