With heavy hearts, the family of Maria Grande, announce her passing on Tuesday, July 19 at the age of 87 years. Maria’s life was one of devotion and dedication to family. She was a woman of strength, inspiring resilience and unwavering faith. Left to mourn are her three daughters, Angela (Andrea) Padovani, Anita (Jim) Armet and Marisa (John) Trinca; three grandchildren, Tina (Umberto) Fiorillo, Remo (Valentina) Padovani and Anissa Armet; and great-grandsons, Teo and Maxwell Fiorillo. She is also survived by her siblings, Angelina Papa and Pasquale (Emma) De Luca; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vincenzo (Sheila) Grande, Tommasina De Luca, Bianca De Luca and Matilde Grande; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Edmonton, Italy, the USA and France. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Teodoro; and her brothers, Luigi and Giovanni. Maria’s family would especially like to thank the many dedicated doctors, nurses and staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and Capital Care Dickinsfield Unit 2A for their loving care and attention.
