Carl Rocker South Plainfield, New Jersey Obituary

Carl Rocker

Metuchen - Carl J. Rocker, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Pennsylvania. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on September 11th, 1964 Carl was the beloved son of Lorraine Neiderman who lives in Collegeville, Pennsylvania with her husband Marvin, and father of four children, Carl, Alison, Marie and Julia Rocker all of whom currently reside in Metuchen, New Jersey with their mother Kathy Rocker. Carl’s caring family consists of his former father and mother in-law Henry and Regina Milton of Edison, New Jersey, former brother in-laws Michael and his wife Magaly Milton of Middletown, New Jersey, Kevin Milton of Hamilton, New Jersey and Brian Milton of Edison, New Jersey. He also had his two aunts; Eileen Giannone of Key West, Florida and Sue with her husband Morris Tavares of Cape Cod, Massachusetts along with his uncle Benjamin and his wife Val Gilinger of Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Carl was a great man who spent everyday living his life to the fullest by doing all the things he loved. As many of you know, Carl was an avid cyclist and hiker as well as just an overall fitness enthusiast. His family was another huge part of his life; he traveled often for work and yet always made time to see his children and mother on their trips to Pennsylvania. Carl’s life was difficult at times but he stayed strong and persevered without ever showing signs of hardship and continued to come home and take his kids out like nothing was wrong. We could all learn something from his passion and dedication towards the things he loved. One of Carl’s many ambitions in life was to hike and reach the high-points of all fifty states and though he was unable to complete the list he now rests with his father, Carl P. Rocker, at one of the highest points of all watching over us each and every day. He was an inspiration to everyone he met and he will never be forgotten. It’s not goodbye; it’s see you later! Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 9: 30am in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by an 11am funeral mass at St. Helena’s RC Church in Edison, New Jersey.
