Bertram Norris

Bertram Vedder Norris age 74 of Fountain, MI, passed away March 19, 2014 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born December 13, 1939 in Livonia, MI the son of the late Edwin & Winifred (Bradt) Norris. Bertram attended Petoskey High School. He married Kay Crawford on January 19, 1974 in Ludington. He was employed as a carpenter & pile driver for Union local 100 for 50 years. Bertram was a member of local union 100 and the Masonic Karnak Lodge #442. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, working on rat rod cars & trucks, flying model airplanes and collecting baseball cards. Bertram is survived by his wife, Kay Norris of Fountain; daughters, Vicki (Bill) Hawkins of Lehigh Acres, FL, Penny (Russ) Passino of Indian River, Kimberly (Steve) Letavish of Grandville, Krista (Jamie) Petzak-Loney of Ludington; grandchildren, Tori Krutky, Trey Krutky, Josh Passino, Hannah Passino, Sophi Passino, Lexi Passino, Luke Passino, Jeff Norris, Jenn Martin, Kendra Harrington, Jason Letavish, Noah Petzak, Connor Loney and Catherine Loney; great-grandchildren, KJ Krutky, Mason Campbell, Abby Norris, J. Bertram Norris, Meena Hernandez and Dylan Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Laurel Lepley & Juanita Vroman,brother, Clark Norris; favorite brother-in-law, Art Vroman; and daughter, Julie Norris. A funeral service will be held for Bertram Friday March 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of service. Interment will take place at Bachelor Cemetery Fountain, MI in spring of 2014. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Norris family.
