Douglas R. Mallard, Sr., 76, of Fort Smith died February 19th in a local hospital. He was a salesman for Electric Motor Center, a U.S. Army veteran and a mason at Delta Lodge in Gould, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 1977, his parents, John and Grace, his sister Jeannie Shockley and his brother Paul Mallard. He is survived by his sons, Doug, Larry and Ronnie Mallard, his brother J.D. Mallard, six grandchildren,Gabriel, Joshua, Erica, Benjamin, Jennifer and Evan; and two great grandchildren, Ariana and Kieana. Pallbearers will be Gabriel, Joshua, Eric, Benjamin and Evan Mallard, Marcus Woodward and Gaylon and Ricky Lay.
