Felicita Viera (Diaz) age 95, entered into peaceful and eternal rest with our heavenly father, Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital.

Felicita was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She exemplified honor with her noble character, determination, resilience, strong will and generous heart. Felicita was an example to her family as a pillar of strength and as a woman of valor. She migrated from Puerto Rico to Philadelphia in the 1960’s and then to Bridgeport, Connecticut in the 1970’s, where she established her family. Felicita enjoyed the company of loved ones with stimulating conversation. She enjoyed remaining active spending memorable time outdoors and deeply valued her spirituality and faith in her creator, above all else.

Felicita was born on Thursday, December 6th, 1917 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Geraldo Viera- Carrasquillo & Zemona Diaz-Quinones. Besides her parents Felicita was predeceased by her spouse of over thirty years, Feliciano Viera, son; Altamin Viera and six siblings: Ramon, Rosa, Julio, Santiaga, Cachimiro and Domingo. Felicita is survived by her five children: Ramona Marrero, Esperanza Fontanez, Pedro Guzman, Hiram & daughter-in-law Lydia E. Viera and Maria-Magdalena & son-in-law Pablo Tejada; Sixteen grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren, a younger sibling; Maria Serrano and a host of extended family that will cherish her memory, forever.
