Hermon T. Price, Jr., M.D.

Hermon T. Price Jr., M.D., 8/19/1925 - 7/25/2013. Hermon was born in Tucson, reared in Bisbee, and was a proud graduate of Bisbee High School. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Margaret; children, George, Lorrie, David, Steven and Harold; his sister, B.J. Ryan; 14 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. In WWII, he served in the Army's 104th, Timberwolf Division, and was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Presidential Unit Citation. Hermon graduated from the U of A with a bachelor's degree in Zoology (1949), and an M.D. degree from Northwestern University (1953, Chicago). He practiced Internal Medicine in Tucson until 1990, followed by locum tenens work in Arizona until he retired in 1997. Among his interests, he loved writing; and for his grandchildren, he authored, illustrated and had published two books containing memoirs. Hermon and Margaret were married on December 19, 1948, at the now Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church (Tucson). Memorial Services will be held at Grace St. Paul's Church at 2331 E. Adams on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Reception will follow.
