William Keith Woody

WOODY, William Keith, son of the late Alfred Curtis Woody and Margaret (Turner) Woody, died May 21, 2013, after a short illness. Keith or "Woody," as he was known to his friends and family, moved to the Tucson area four years ago to complete his dream of becoming a flight instructor. He accomplished this and was an aviation instructor at the Marana Airport before his illness. Keith was born in Savannah, Georgia, to a military family. His father was transferred to OAFB on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, when he was six years old. Keith spent the next 49 years on Cape Cod except for six years in the Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged. He was well respected throughout the music community on Cape Cod. His expertise with soundboard and sound systems and his ability to bring guitar amps back to life was appreciated by all. He was an active member of AA for over nine years, Keith touched the lives and will be greatly missed by many people. He leaves his wife, Eileen (Wallace) Woody; his two stepchildren, Melanie Galante and Ian Lowrey; his stepgrandchildren, Cameron and Arianna Galante. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716. Followed by a "Fly Over" at Marana Airport at which time his ashes will be spread.
