Obituary for William Denney

Bill Denney, age 88 of Winchester, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Lakeside Manor. He was a native of Pikeville, TN and he served in WWII as a Flight Engineer on a B-17 bomber. Following his military service he took up farming and also worked for Cleveland Pneumatic as a Quality Assurance Manager, retiring in 1984. Following retirement he returned to farming and raising cattle. He was a member of Decherd Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Barbara McDonald Denney, 4 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his son, Kerry (Beverly) Denney of Decherd; granddaughter, Teena (Chuck) Waggoner of Winchester; grandsons, Brannan Denney of Memphis and Cameron Denney of Tullahoma; brother, Jim (Foye) Denney of Pikeville; several very close friends at Lakeside Manor. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Online condolences may be sent to www.watsonnorth.com
