John Donisvitch Obituary

Clinton-John W. Donisvitch, of 10 Norman St., passed on to a better life on Friday, August 27, 2010 on his 80th birthday. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Emilia (Belmonte) “Toni” Donisvitch, a daughter, Carol Ann Macomber and her husband Harold; two sons, Jack Donisvitch and his wife Rebecca of Augusta, ME; Edward Donisvitch and his life partner Bruce Fleming of Boulder, CO; a brother, Raymond Donisvitch and his wife Joan of Worcester; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He is predeceased by three brothers, Alfred, Robert and Stanley Donisvitch and two sisters, Pauline Finn and Claire Fox. John was born in Clinton, son of the late Vincent and Theodora (Lavigne) Donisvitch. He attended Clinton schools and proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict with the Army Corps of Engineers. John began his career with the former Colonial Press in Clinton where he was employed as a foreman for nearly forty years until their closing. He later worked for Murry Printing until his retirement in 1993. John was a life member of the former Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish in Clinton. He most enjoyed time spent with his family and will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure to have known him. It was John’s wish to donate his body to the University of Massachusetts Medical School Anatomical Gift Program for research and education. There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service is to be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, September 6, 2010 at St. Joseph the Good Provider Church, 52 West St., Berlin. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of John W.
