James Irvin

James Emery Irvin, 80, of Princeton, formerly of Oak Hill, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his daughter’s residence. Born June 19, 1932 at Cowen WV the son of the late Blaine and Sylvia Irvin. James was retired coal miner from Pittston Coal Company. James was survived by his wife Pattsy (Simons) Irvin; children Virginia Cogar of Tennessee, Theresa Giles and her husband Orval of Fairdale WV, James Irvin of Cowen WV, Brida Rozas and her husband Steve of Cowen WV, Vicky Goddard of Union Bridge MD, James Goddard of Glen Bernie MD, and Yvonne Nunly and her husband John of Greensboro NC; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother Bob of Florida; and two sisters Mary and Betty both of WV. His remains rest at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1435 E. Main Street, Oak Hill where Pattsy and her family and friends will visit from 2 - 4 pm Monday and where his family and friends from Cowen WV will visit from 6 - 8 pm Monday. The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
