SOUTH GLENS FALLS Lester L. Huntley, 78, of Gansevoort Road, South Glens Falls, NY passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home. Born May 13, 1934, at home in Wilton, NY, Lester was the son of the late John and Lillian (Johnson) Huntley. In 1954, he married Patricia Prouty at St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls, NY. Lester retired from Valcor after 40 years of service. Lester was a talented craftsman and woodworker, and he enjoyed making wooden yard decorations. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lester was predeceased by his sisters, Frances Barber and Helen Rich, and his brothers, Walter Huntley and John Huntley, Jr. Lester is survived by Patricia, his loving wife of 58 years, his sons Michael Huntley and Brian Huntley and his wife Kelly, his daughter Michele Carpenter, his grandchildren Nathaniel and Courtney Carpenter, and Taylor, Nolin, and Sarah Huntley, and several nieces and nephews.
