Arthur Emery Obituary

Arthur R. "Reddy" Emery passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at his home. He was born December 4, 1921 in Shepherdstown, WV to Robert Lee Emery, Sr. and Fannie Belle Shipe Emery. He was a member of the Bedington United Methodist Church. He graduated from Shepherdstown High School in the class of 1938. He served with the US Army in Korea from 1945 to 1946. After returning from the service he was the founder and President of Emery Trucking, Inc. until his retirement in 1988. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hope B. Emery; two brothers, Carlton Emery and Robert Lee Emery, Jr., and one sister, Ethel Haines of Sun City, AZ. He is survived by two sons, Larry Lee Emery and Wayne Emery, one daughter, Linda Triggs of Martinsburg, WV. A very special friend Lucy Boward and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At his request there will be no viewing or service. He donated his remains to West Virginia University Medical Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bedington United Methodist Church, Bedington Ruritan Club, or Bedington Volunteer Fire Dept.
