Laurel Gail Stewart Woodbeck, age 52, of Hemet, California, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012. Laurel was born in Washington, DC on May 16, 1960 to Dr. Allan H Stewart and Julia Baker Stewart and shared her birthday with her twin brother Craig. She married Gerald (Jerry) Herman Woodbeck Jr. April 12, 1986 at Pohick Episcopal Church (Church of George Washington) in Lorton, Virginia. Laurel is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Woodbeck; her precious children, Jeremy Joseph (JJ) Woodbeck and Kaila Hope Woodbeck, and soon to be granddaughter, Jennifer Gail Woodbeck; mother-in-law Ellen L Woodbeck, sister Kathy Lynn Stewart Powers, brother-in-law Charles (Mark) Powers Sr., twin brother Craig Ross Stewart, and sister-in-law Linda Woodbeck; and many other relatives including, Julie Barb, James Barb, Kelsey Powers-Barb, Krista Barb, Allan Barb, Charles (Chad) Powers, Jr., Brooke Powers, Jackson Powers, Embrey Powers, Chris Powers, Nickey Powers, Billy Powers, Jacob Powers, Johnny Powers, MacKenzie Stewart, Jenna Stewart, and Patrick Pinson. She was preceded in death by her Parents Dr. & Mrs. Allan H Stewart, Father-in-Law Gerald (Pops) Woodbeck and brother Jeff Stewart. Laurel was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed raising pure breed boxer’s and leaves behind three beautiful dogs, Foxy, Sadie and Peanut and recently departed Bosn. Laurel was a life time active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2266 located at 1891 S Santa Fe, San Jacinto CA 92583. Services will be held on Friday, October 26th, 2012 at the Miller-Jones Hemet Chapel at 1501 West Florida Avenue at 1:00 pm. Friends may gather after the services at the VFW 2266. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 27th, 2012 at 10:00 at the VFW for all who wish to celebrate her life. Laurel loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed by all those who were honored to know her and who loved her.
