Ann Marie Golda Omaha -- Ann Marie Golda, 86, passed away on August 24, 2012. She was born in Omaha, NE on June 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Ann W. (Chromy) Citta. Ann Marie grew up in Omaha, and married Jerry E. Golda in 1944. In the early years of their marriage, she farmed alongside her husband. Prior to retirement, for 20 years Ann Marie worked as a department manager for Sears. Ann Marie found great joy in gardening and horticulture, with particular interest in cultivating prize winning African violets and cacti. She enjoyed bird watching, collecting dolls, and dancing. She had a special love for animals, especially her constant companion, “Chica” a little Chihuahua. Ann Marie was a former member of her church choir and volunteered in making lap quilts for the home bound. Ann Marie was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jerry E. Golda; son, Jerry E. Golda, Jr.; and sister, Rose A. Ostransky. Survivors include her three daughters, Rose Marie Brabec and her husband, Russell, of Tallahassee, FL, Kathleen Brown and her husband, Earl, of Orono, ME, and Jan Utecht and her husband, Rick, of Bayfield, WI; seven grandchildren, Felicia Marie Brabec, Seth Brabec, Kelly Golda, Jeremiah Utecht, Richard Utecht, Kassi Utecht, and Jennifer Brown Skall; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Citta, Fred Citta, and Carl Citta and his wife, Maxine; two sisters, Josephine Golda and Betty Mokay. A memorial service for Ann Marie Golda will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Reichmuth Funeral Home, 21901 W. Maple Rd, Elkhorn, NE, followed by a luncheon and interment at Bohemian Cemetery, 5201 Center Street, Omaha, NE. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Reichmuth Funeral Home, 21901 W. Maple Rd, Elkhorn, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
