Alice Marie (Dutch) Alboucq, 65, a lifelong Clarkston resident, passed
away Friday, August 15, 2003, at Lewiston Rehab and Care Center.
She
was born March 17, 1938 to Dorothy (Parkins) and Oran Rinard in
Lewiston. She attended school in Clarkston where she graduated from
Clarkston High School. She married Leon T. Alboucq Oct. 14, 1956 in
Clarkston.
Alice worked at the local telephone company prior to
co-owning Alboucq’s General Store in the Clarkston Heights. Leon and
Alice worked in the store for 31 years. After retiring, Alice enjoyed
traveling with her husband. Alice enjoyed watching baseball games,
supporting her children and grandchildren at their various rodeo and
sporting events, reading, crafts, playing cards and bingo.
Alice was a
member of the Clarkston Moose Lodge for 46 years. She enjoyed staying
at her vacation home at Port Susan in Marysville, Wash. and watching
Mariners games at Safeco Field.
Alice is survived by her husband, Leon
at the family home; sons Brad D. Alboucq and wife Rhona Alboucq, and
Greg G. Alboucq both of Clarkston; her mother, Dorothy Rinard of
Clarkston; a sister, Pam Robertson of Pomeroy, Wash.; brothers Glenn
Rinard of Clarkston and Joe Rinard of Puget Sound, Wash.; a sister
Mary Ann Wyant of Vancouver, B.C.; granddaughters Lacey Christiansen
of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Jaclyn Alboucq of Clarkston; grandsons
Tom Alboucq and Robert Alboucq, both of Clarkston. She was preceded in
death by her father Oran Rinard.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday at
Merchant’s Funeral Home in Clarkston.
The family suggests memorials be
made to the American Cancer Society.
