Jean Rogowski

BARRE - Jean Cummings Rogowski, 81, a lifelong resident of Barre passed away peacefully on April 2, 2012. She is predeceased by her husband Stanley F. Rogowski. She leaves her sons, Fire Chief Joseph A. Rogowski and wife Linda, Assistant Fire Chief Gary S. Rogowski and wife Nancy, grandchildren, Fire Lieutenant Robert Rogowski and wife Lindsay, Firefighter David Rogowski and wife Lesley, Emily Rogowski and Firefighter Cory Rogowski, along with two great-grandchildren Abby and Ava, all from Barre and nephews and nieces. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Alice and Irene and a brother Charles. She worked many years at the Chas G. Allen Co. and nearly 30 years for the Quabbin Regional School District. Jean was very active in Cub Scouts and the first female to receive the Silver Fawn Award. Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial calling hours on Friday April 6, 2012 from 4-6 pm in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S.Barre Rd., Barre, MA 01005. The burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Barre Firefighter Association Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 430, Barre, MA 01005-0430.
