~OBITUARY~ A TIME TO BE BORN Frank Slack Jr., was born June 24, 1935 in Milton, Fl., to the late Frank Slack and Julia Young. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Walter L. Slack and one sister, Minnie L. Salter. A TIME TO WORK Frank was educated in the J.B. Turner school system. He was truly a working man. Frank started working when he was eight years old and didn’t stop until his death. He retired three times (Monsanto, Barnes Supermarket, Habitat for Humanity). Habitat for Humanity was his dream job because it allowed him to do what he loved, work with his hands and share his wisdom. Frank was affectionately known as “Brother”. BROTHERLY LOVE He leaves behind his beloved sisters, his twin sister Frankie Covington and Mittie Helen Neal, both of Milton, Fl. A TIME TO SERVE Frank was a devoted member at Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully. A TIME TO DIE On the evening of October 31, 2011, God called our loved one home to be with Him to receive eternal rest. Precious memories remain with those who loved him. He leaves to cherish his memories, his four beautiful daughters: Francine of Washington, D.C.; Cookie(Anthony) of Milford, KS; Deidra (Dwight) of San Antonio, TX., and Contrina of Pensacola, FL.; 7 grandchildren: Franchesca, RJ, Trenichia, Latrice, Kerina, William and Dante’; 10 great-grandchildren; 7 nieces: Sammie, Deltina, Nora, Alberta, Evelyn and Winona; 3 nephews: Raymond, Jerome and Cleveland; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
