Pansy Bostic

Mrs. Pansy V. Bostic, age 82, of the Pine Creek section of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Thursday (June 16, 2011) at a Bluefield, West Virginia hospital. Born March 2, 1929 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ida Robinette Boyd. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of the Pine Creek Pole Church and was retired from Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bostic, Jr.; two brothers, Lee Boyd and Paul Boyd and five sisters, Dorothy Vance, Letha Robinette, Avis Whited Plaster, Nellie Dye and Nettie White. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Marshall and husband, Ronnie of Richlands, Virginia, one granddaughter, Virginia Hope Wilson and husband, Ricky of Raven, Virginia and one grandson, Shawn Smith and wife, Carrie of Richlands, Virginia; one great- granddaughter, Angel Nicole Stump of Raven, Virginia; two sisters, Pearl Paul of Jacksonville, Florida and Opal Carver of Swords Creek, Virginia; niece and special caregiver, Patty Elkins of Swords Creek, Virginia and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carter Wells and Honorary Minister, Rev. Ralph Bostic officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Sunday.
