Thomas Goins

Thomas Alvin Goins, age 71, of Fort Smith, AR died on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in a local hospital. He was a dispatcher at Fort Smith Police Department for 22 years. He was a member of Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church, the Fort Smith Police Reserve, and a member of the Belle Point Masonic Lodge in Fort Smith, AR. He was a member of the El Cajon Police Reserve in California. Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR Survivors include his wife : Linda Goins of Fort Smith, AR; one daughter, Margaret Goins of Fort Smith, AR; his father Alvin Goins of Fort Smith, AR, three brothers, Larry Goins of Van Buren, AR, Howard Sines of Van Buren, AR, and Dale R. Sines of Killeen, TX. Four sisters, Scottie Williams of Hackett, AR, Raylene Hillhouse of Colorado Springs, CO, Patricia Carruth of Fort Smith, AR and Deloris Shaw of Van Buren, AR. Memorials may be made to Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church Food Bank, 2825 Grinnell Ave Fort Smith, AR 72908. Family will visit with friends Monday, February 28, 2011 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
