William Levos

William Richard “Rich” Levos passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his home of natural causes. Rich was a very giving man and was well thought of by all who knew him. He never met a stranger in any of his travels, only future friends. Rich served his country proudly in the United States Army for two years during the Vietnam era. Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Murl Launt Levos; daughter, Heather Lynn Levos and his wife Darleene Pond-Levos, both of Colorado Springs. He leaves behind three step-daughters, Sabrina Pond-Bland of Colorado Springs, Salinda Pond-Mote of Bremen, Georgia and Rena Powell of Milan, Tennessee and six grandchildren. Rich also leaves behind two brothers, Jon Levos of Livonia, Michigan and Douglas Levos of McClean, Nebraska and a sister Lloydene Taylor of Tilden, Nebraska. He leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews. To be included in the family he has left behind is his ex-wife and friend Jeannette Levos-Stango of Colorado Springs. Inurnment will be at 9:15 Am on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd. in Denver, Colorado. A Memorial Service is planned for Friday, February 18, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue in Colorado Springs with a Celebration of Life gathering following at Thirsty’s, 2028 Sheldon Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the William Richard Levos Memorial Fund any ENT Federal Credit Union location.
