John W Jock

TUPPER LAKE- John W. Jock, 74, of 78 Little Wolf Rd., passed away into the loving arms of his Savior at CVPH in Plattsburgh on September 16, 2009. Born on September 24, 1934 in Moira, he was the son of Wilbur and Rachael (Sauvie) Jock. John was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1955-1981. John was previously married to the former Gail Gonyea. After his retirement, he returned to Tupper Lake and operated the Auto body shop at LeRoy's Auto for 20 years. He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Cindy Mayotte and four children; Debbie Proper and her husband John of Malone, John K. Jock and is wife Caroline of Tupper Lake, Christopher Jock and his wife Lisa of Charlotte, NC, Rene Jock and her companion Chad Garvey of Tupper Lake, grandchildren, Michelle (Proper) Coccia, Nathan Proper, Douglas John Jock, Daniel Jock, Jayden Jock, Jessica Jock, Kayla Cote, great-grandchildren, Jacoby R. Coccia, Penelope and Joseph Cazzia. He was pre-deceased by his parents and a sister Dorothy Exware. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service with the presence of the V.F.W. and Tupper Lake Honor Guard will be held on John's birthday, Thursday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus cemetery. A small gathering will follow at 78 Little Wolf Rd. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad.
