Jean Wilson
June 17, 1928 - June 26, 2009

Jean Wilson, 81, of Dallas, Oregon, formerly of Poway, California passed away peacefully on June 26, 2009.

She was born in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to Luther G. and Mary Lavada Lockwood Chaney on June 17, 1928 along with her twin brother, Derald Chaney.

She met the love of her life, Chief Petty Officer George H. Wilson and was married in Eugene, Oregon on February 29, 1952.

They moved to Poway in 1955, where she raised her four children, was a Hairstylist and owned Jean’s Beauty Salon.

Jean loved her life. She enjoyed doll making, floral arranging, painting, and was a Master quilt maker. She was happiest when she was camping and fishing along the creeks from Poway to Dallas, or near her hometown in Arkansas.

Jean was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved her family deeply. She is survived by her husband, George Wilson, and her four children Larry Wilson, of Dallas, Oregon, Allen Wilson, of Gadsden, Alabama, Patti Siano of Las Vegas and Toni Smith of Seattle, Washington. Her family also includes 10 grand children and 6 great-grand children, sister Shirley Thresher, of Oroville, California and her brother, Derald of Horatio, Arkansas.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. She will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. To leave an online condolence go to www.dallastribute.com.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Robert Davies for the loving care he gave to our wife and mother.
