SHREWSBURY- John E. "Rover" O'Brien, 54, of Shrewsbury and Westborough died Saturday, December 16th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center-University Campus. <BR><BR>John leaves a five siblings, Elizabeth F. Rich of Shrewsbury; his twin brother, Patrick J. O'Brien, of Maine; Eileen L. Boyle of Florida; Mary A. Berkowitz of Tennessee; and Kathleen A. O'Brien of Worcester; also survived by 7 nieces and nephews, Cpl. Jillian Hayes, Allyson Rich, Colin Rich, Timothy O'Brien, Kelly O'Brien, Brett Berkowitz and Ryan Berkowitz.<BR><BR>He was born in Boston, Massachusetts son of the late Cornelius P. and Mary K. (Valade) O'Brien and had lived in Shrewsbury with his sister Elizabeth and her family for 11 years before moving to Westborough a year ago. He graduated from Tahanto Regional High School in 1972.<BR><BR>Mr. O'Brien had been employed by IFCO Company in Westborough. John was a devoted brother and uncle.<BR><BR>Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for John on Saturday, December 30th at 1 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to the American Cancer Society, Mass Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA, 01701. <BR>

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts son of the late Cornelius P. and Mary K. (Valade) O'Brien and had lived in Shrewsbury with his sister Elizabeth and her family for 11 years before moving to Westborough a year ago. He graduated from Tahanto Regional High School in 1972.
