<h1>James Gellatly</h1><br/>1924 – 2008 <BR> <BR>Jim died at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre, Waterloo, on Monday, March 24, 2008. He was 83. <BR> <BR>Beloved husband of June Gellatly, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Dear father of Judith Rourke and her husband Rodney of Mississauga, Tracey Pastrik and her husband Eckhard, and Kimberley Gellatly of Waterloo. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Robert and his wife Maya Rourke, Allan and his wife Emily Rourke, Alexandra and Carley Pastrik. Brother of Shirley Knack of Kitchener, Douglas and his wife Marion of Port Hope and Bruce and his wife Audrey of Courtney BC. He was predeceased by a son Larry in 1972; parents Pearl (Eagle) and Harold Gellatly; sisters Audrey Weiler, Gwendoline Hainsworth, Constance Cruickshank and brother Reginald. <BR> <BR>Jim worked for the LCBO for 21 years retiring from their head office as Supervisor of Special Projects. In 1975 he founded Glenridge Sales and Equipment and then taught part time at Conestoga College. He was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church where he sang in the choir, was past president of the K-W Philharmonic Choir and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kitchener Branch 50. During WW ll he served with the Ordinance Corp of the 1st Canadian Armoured Brigade. <BR> <BR>Friends and relatives are invited to join Jim’s family for a service to celebrate his life on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 2 pm, in the chapel of the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo. Cremation has taken place. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room for a time to visit with the family. <BR> <BR>Jim’s family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre. <BR> <BR>Condolences for the family and donations to Dialysis Unit of Grand River Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home, www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445. <BR> <BR>In living memory of Jim, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home. <BR><br/><br/>

Jim died at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre, Waterloo, on Monday, March 24, 2008. He was 83.

Beloved husband of June Gellatly, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Dear father of Judith Rourke and her husband Rodney of Mississauga, Tracey Pastrik and her husband Eckhard, and Kimberley Gellatly of Waterloo.
