Edward Lewis

Edward W. 'Bud' Lewis, 80

of Bells Landing died on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at his residence.

He was born on April 13, 1928 in Pitcairn, a son of the late Edward W. and Carrie (Bell) Lewis, Sr.

Mr. Lewis retired form North American Refractories in Curwensville. Prior to that, he was employed at the former Harbison Walker Refractories in Clearfield.
He attended the Cherry Corner Bible Church and was a veteran of the US Navy having served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia A. (Bennett) Lewis, whom he wed July 22, 1952 in Winchester, VA,

two daughters, Linda C. Lewis of Clearfield, Debra A. Borden and husband R. Alan of Troutville, two grandsons, Matthew A. Borden of Birdsboro and Adam M. Borden of Wilcox, a sister, Eva Gouldthread of Grampian and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Wolstenholme and a brother David Lewis.

Funeral services will be held at the Cherry Corner Bible Church on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor George W. Solley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Military honors will be accorded at the church by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the Clearfield VFW Post #1785.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Monday from
2-4 & 6-9 PM and at the church on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM
