Edward W. 'Bud' Lewis, 80<br><br>of Bells Landing died on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at his residence.<br><br>He was born on April 13, 1928 in Pitcairn, a son of the late Edward W. and Carrie (Bell) Lewis, Sr.<br><br>Mr. Lewis retired form North American Refractories in Curwensville. Prior to that, he was employed at the former Harbison Walker Refractories in Clearfield.<br>He attended the Cherry Corner Bible Church and was a veteran of the US Navy having served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.<br><br>He is survived by his wife, Virginia A. (Bennett) Lewis, whom he wed July 22, 1952 in Winchester, VA,<br><br>two daughters, Linda C. Lewis of Clearfield, Debra A. Borden and husband R. Alan of Troutville, two grandsons, Matthew A. Borden of Birdsboro and Adam M. Borden of Wilcox, a sister, Eva Gouldthread of Grampian and several nieces and nephews.<br><br>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Wolstenholme and a brother David Lewis.<br><br>Funeral services will be held at the Cherry Corner Bible Church on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor George W. Solley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.<br><br>Military honors will be accorded at the church by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the Clearfield VFW Post #1785.<br><br>Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Monday from <br>2-4 & 6-9 PM and at the church on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM<br><br>The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Cherry Corner Bible Church, % Pastor George W. Solley, 155 Nellies Road, Grampian, PA 16838 or to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 541 Graham Station Road, Philipsburg PA 16866<br>
