Obituary for Cody Edward Wilson

Cody Edward Wilson, son of Edward A. and Anastasia M. (Campeau) Wilson, was born March 4, 1991 in Phelps County, Missouri. He departed this life the evening of May 24, 2006 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri, as the result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father: Ed Wilson, and his mother: Stacy Wilson and her friend, John Bales all of Waynesville; three sisters: Rachel Wilson and Grace Bales both of Waynesville and Allison Smith of Laquey; paternal grandparents: Edward and Bonnie Wilson of Newburg; paternal great grandmothers: Robin Alkire of Waynesville and Treva Howard of Dayton, Ohio; maternal grandmother: Dorothy McGuire of Waynesville; maternal great grandfather: Ben Campeau of St. Robert, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cody attended Waynesville High School. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, skateboarding, playing paintball and spending time with his friends. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 2006 in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic church with Father John Groner officiating. Organist Evelyn Horine led the congregation in singing responses. Anna Hartley and Richard McCoy sang "It Is Well With My Soul”. Scripture Readings were read by Judy McFarland and Cody’s father, Ed gave a beautiful eulogy. Serving as escorts were Justin Agee, Aaron Alkire, Jared Alkire, Justin Alkire, Ralph Alkire, Raymond Alkire, Joseph Campeau and Bill Voiles.

Burial followed in the Goodall Cemetery of Newburg, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.
