Richard F. Kressin, age77, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born May 2, 1931 in Chippewa County to Herbert & Gertrude (Boettcher) Kressin. He married Laurine Deets (O’Gorman) on October 27, 1976 in Las Vegas NV. Richard worked as a dairy farmer and as an A-1 technician for AMPI . He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, watching the Packers, visiting with friends and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife: Laurine of Bloomer; one step-son: Rick O’Gorman of Birchwood; two sisters: Lois (Bill) Rufledt of Bloomer & Janice (Donald) Turner of Bloomer; three grandchildren: Heather (Adam) Hilton of Eau Claire, Shane (Lindsey) O’Gorman of Eau Claire & Shawn (Erica) O’Gorman of Rochester; 4 great-grandchildren: Dylan & Olivia O’Gorman, Rheyannon & Sawyer Hilton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Robert Otto officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at the church. There will be no visitation Thursday evening.
