Evelyn G. Ausherman, age 86, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Born in Dallastown, PA on March 24, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Pius and Lucille Eberly Grim. Mrs. Ausherman was a 1946 graduate of Red Lion High School. She worked at Ft. Dietrich for several years, and retired as the Chief of Military Pay. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed painting. Surviving are two sons, Jerry L. of Fayetteville, PA and Gordon (wife Merri) Ausherman of Blair, NE; five grandchildren, Philip (wife Jenny), Tara, Mike, Tami, and Lisa Ausherman; and four great grandchildren, Ahna, Echo, Kendell, and Demetrius Ausherman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland O. Ausherman in 1995 and a son, David B. Ausherman. A private memorial service will be held next spring at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
