Millus Tripp

Millus L. Tripp, 79, of Hector, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 26, 2009, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born November 9, 1930, in Hector, the son of Henry Millus and Ora Lee Robinette Tripp. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bob and Tom Tripp, and sister, Jean Tripp. He was a graduate of Hector High School and Arkansas Tech. Millus was retired from the National Guard and Teamsters, was a worker in the Cumberland Presbyterian Churches in Tulsa and Locust Grove and was a member of the Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Khristi Norris of Tulsa; grandchildren, Shawn Norris and Amanda Carson; great-grandchildren, Blake Norris, Bailie Carlson; brother, Carl Tripp of Appleton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Byford of Pineville, Billie and Hank Shank of Las Vegas, NV, Betty Witcomb of Hector, Grace and Jervis Walker of Bearden, Mickey and Jim Donahue of Harrison; sister-in-law, Anna Maud Tripp of London; 8 cousins; 21 nieces and nephews; 39 grand-nieces and nephews; special cousin, Harold Tripp; special niece and nephew, Beth and Kenneth Brown who were at his bedside in his final days. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday, November 30, at Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Tim Phillips and the Rev. Darwin Barnhouse officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, arrangements by Lemley Funeral Service. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday. Pallbearers are Kenneth Brown, Elvin Tripp, Shawn Norris, Mike Hollabaugh, Brett Stuart, Jim McAllister.
