Connie Maxine Easterly
Connie Maxine Easterly, age 79, of Gorham, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2007, at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home in Carrier Mills, Illinois. Connie was born on April 14, 1927, in Murphysboro, to Percy Kreuzer and Clara (VanPelt) Kreuzer. Mrs. Easterly had worked as an inspector at the former Jacket Factory in Murphysboro. She married Otis "Odie" Easterly on November 25, 1949, in Piggott, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1994. Connie is survived by one son and daughter in law Bud and Carol Stone of Gorham, Illinois; two grandchildren Gail Stone of South Hill, VA and Connie Lee Stone of Mt. Vernon, IL; three great grandchildren Katlyn Stone of Rawlins, WY, Patrick O'Brien, III of Conroe, TX, and Alex Maywold of Mt. Vernon, IL; one brother Alvin Kreuzer of Murphysboro, IL; four sisters Violet Sumner and Patricia Taylor, both of Highland; Mary Schroeder of Herrin, IL, and Priscilla Kreuzer of Gorham. She was preceded in death by on grandson Ralph Stone, Jr. and her parents.Obituary
